Chocolate slipper cake. Chocolate shoes for dessert

Frances Cooley creates charming women's accessories - shoes and handbags - from the finest Belgian chocolate.

As a child, Frances loved chocolate, and as an adult she became a successful graphic designer, but one day, during a trip to Antwerp, a woman bought an unusual shoe-shaped chocolate mold. Then the idea came up to create chocolate shoes with a print that repeats the pattern of a zebra skin.

Later, Francis decided to make high-heeled shoes and complement them with a matching handbag. She designed and patented her chocolate molds and ordered them from a manufacturer. Work boiled over.
Frances Cooley made her first collection of sweet shoes more than 10 years ago in her small kitchen.

She now owns the Choc Chic confectionery, which makes cakes and sweets to order. A pair of shoes in her patisserie costs around £21, but the demand for exclusive chocolate shoes only grows and there is simply no end to orders. But despite the increase in customers, as before, all sweets are made exclusively by hand.

The collection is regularly updated with new models: you can find shoes in discreet colors, as well as luxurious leopard and scarlet shoes. You can choose not only by design, but also by taste: sweets are made of white, milk and dark chocolate. These shoes are bought for a wedding, decorated with cakes and given as a surprise when they want to please their beloved woman.

At the request of customers, Choc Chic confectioners can make sweet shoes with any label, or create an exclusive handbag. Shoes and bags from Choc Chic are placed in beautiful packaging, and the company sends them all over the world.

You can also glue Titanium with glue, but you have to fasten it with clothespins for drying and wait at least an hour.

Next, we take the corrugation (or what can be found in the back streets: wrapping paper, cardboard for children's creativity or trimming fabric from old sewing). Cut out the rectangle. We glue the bottom of the sole. Cut off the excess, leaving an allowance of about 1.5 cm and glue it on the sidewall and the inside.

Now we do the same with thin cardboard. I wrapped in a corrugation of a different color.

We connect the resulting blanks with hot glue (or on Titanium). At this point, if desired, you can glue a small “heel” between the insoles. I have it from a floristic mesh. But you can simply make it out of braid, like on a sandal. And you can not do it.

It already looks like a shoe, but something is missing. We make a small platform.

Important

Such an original gift will be a pleasant surprise for any girl on her birthday and on March 8 and will be remembered for a long time. To make such a shoe, we need penoplex, flowers from sweets and corrugated paper, artificial flowers, greenery and decor elements.

Candy shoe master class

We will make a candy shoe according to the size of real shoes, I have the 38th size, so if you want to make a miniature shoe, my sketches will not suit you.

We print this sketch in A4 format (album sheet) and cut it out.

From thick corrugated cardboard we cut out two identical blanks.

They will be the sole for our shoe.

Glue double-sided tape on one blank.

We apply hot glue over the entire surface and glue the second sole blank.

Attention

All girls love shoes, chocolate and flowers, which means that a gift that combines all three components will be popular. Simultaneously with the idea to go to the “shoemakers”, the desire was born to make my first master class.

I hope it will be useful to you.

So, how to make a shoe out of candy? Very simple!

We will need: 1. Floral corrugated paper in two colors. If there are difficulties with its purchase, then for the shoe itself it can be replaced with beautiful paper or fabric.

Info

For flowers, however, it is better to take the floral corrugation. 2. Penoplex or polystyrene. 3. Packaging cardboard. 4. The cardboard is thin.

5. The wire is thin (I have a floristic 0.8). 6. Masking tape, double-sided adhesive tape. 7. Thermal gun. 8. Braid or decorative cord. 9. Ribbons, artificial leaves, beads or rhinestones.

How to make a chocolate shoe from a Chinese mold

This is a pity, agree)))

The seller sent the parcel quickly. It also arrived, oddly enough, quite quickly, for which we must pay tribute to the Kazakh customs and the “transshipment” point at Khorgos.
The shoe was packed in a zip bag and rewound with a “pimple”. The packaging, of course, is risky, for our postal carriers with "overshoots of vandals", but everything arrived intact.

The form itself consists of 2 parts made of transparent plastic.

They are fastened with small stationery clothespins. There is no smell, the plastic looks quite high quality.

By the way speaking about the size of the form. It is this one that I ordered - a small one. It fits freely in the palm of your hand.

And, of course, you can use such a small shoe as a separate souvenir, but it’s somehow dumb.

And at the top we twist the petals on both sides with a skewer.

Our petals are ready.

Now we glue them to the bud, putting a drop of hot glue on the lowest part of the petal. We glue the first row - 3 petals, the second row - 4, and the third row - 5. We try to glue the petals in a checkerboard pattern. The rose is almost ready.

That's how beautiful it is on the shoe!

To make the flower look more natural, you can make sepals for it. To do this, cut out a rectangle 5-7 cm high and 3.5-4 cm wide from the green corrugation.

We cut out a “fence” from it, leaving about a centimeter intact on one side.

Curl the ends with your fingers.

And glue the sepal to the bottom of our rose.

Not so long ago, chocolate shoes burst into fashion. Well, at least in our small town such know-how appeared quite recently. And so far you can buy such a miracle from us only in one confectionery. Shoes are expensive. It takes a lot of chocolate + decorations + the work of a confectioner, I understand perfectly well that it is cheap to sell such sweets at a loss. But I don't really want to go broke either. So I decided to order a uniform on Aliexpress and make chocolate shoes on my own.

Why is it needed, you ask? Not to wear it really))))) It’s just that while it’s fashionable and not everyone has yet had time to taste such a “delicacy” (because it’s expensive and not everyone can afford it), I came up with a brilliant idea - to order a shoe shape and solve the problem with the head pain "what to give as a souvenir, so that it is beautiful, remembered and does not oblige to anything."

But it will fit perfectly on a birthday cake as a decoration (for a birthday or by March 8, for example).

There were no instructions for use in the package. I had to watch a video on YouTube on how to use the form correctly. It's simple - heat chocolate in a water bath or in a microwave (it is better to take good quality chocolate right away. I tried to train on inexpensive copies, I came to the conclusion that manufacturers began to add some kind of bad thing to chocolate, which prevents the chocolate from becoming liquid, it curls up when heated and turns into an incomprehensible bumpy mass).

Wash the form thoroughly, wipe dry and fasten both parts with clothespins. Gently pour the chocolate inside and spread the chocolate along the walls with smooth hand movements.

Put the mold in the freezer until the chocolate hardens completely (2-3 hours, at least).

You can give it as is, or you can stick it on double-sided tape to a box of chocolates or any other gift, as a beautiful addition.

If you could not get the corrugation, then you can just make a beautiful shoe from the materials that are at hand. Instead of flowers, make a spout like a sandal from a beautiful braid and decorate it with beads. Or just attach beautiful sweets like Ferrero.

My costs: about 230-250 rubles, the cost of materials, about 4 hours of work.

Chocolate or a box of chocolates - trite. And here is the same chocolate - but what a serving! In the form of shoes, beautifully decorated. This is a pity, agree)))

For a very long time I chose the desired shape on the Aliexpress website, I settled on just such a plastic one. Unfortunately, I did not specify all the details, so I was not completely satisfied with the purchase, but this is my fault, the shape itself is very cool. I ordered from this seller: Yiwu Sunglory Trading Co., Ltd. The price for the mold is one of the cheapest, there are many times more expensive, although the size of the shoe will be exactly the same. There are a lot of orders, the reviews are mostly positive, so I settled on this store.

How will the chocolate pull away from the sides of the mold? At first, I also thought that there would be some problems with this. But no, the chocolate somehow unsticks itself from the walls and everything comes out perfectly. The main thing is that there is enough chocolate on the walls, if the layer is too thin, the shoe may break. It took me about 100 g of chocolate to make one such shoe.
