  • Flour - 250 grams (this is 1 cup 250 ml without a slide + another 2/3 cup),
  • Butter - 75 grams,
  • Odorless vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. spoons,
  • Milk - 125 ml (half a glass),
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoons,
  • Salt - 1/3 teaspoon,
  • Fast-acting yeast - half an 11-gram sachet,
  • Apples - 500 grams (unpeeled weight),
  • Sugar for the filling - 4-5 tablespoons (depending on the acidity of the apples)

How to cook apple pies in the oven

For the dough, we will need to melt the butter. We put it in a ladle or saucepan, put it on a small fire and stir until the oil is completely liquid.

Take the pot off the stove and pour in the milk.


Add vegetable oil.


Add sugar and salt, mix.

In a large bowl or saucepan, mix the flour with instant yeast.


Pour in the milk-butter mixture.

Mix the dough with a spoon.

And then knead with your hands for about five minutes, stretching the dough and folding (try not to tear it). We will get such a bun.


We close the dough with a lid or a towel and put it in a warm place (in my oven you can set the temperature to 40 degrees, ideal for raising the dough - after 40 minutes it increases 2.5 times, which can be clearly seen in the photo).

While the dough is rising, let's work on the filling. Processing apples is the most time-consuming procedure in this recipe.

They need to be washed, peeled, then cut into quarters, cut out the cores with seeds and cut very finely. Some grate apples. But it still seems to me that the grater is somehow unsportsmanlike. Next, apples need to be covered with sugar and mix well. After five to seven minutes, apples will give juice, which is desirable to drain, because it usually strives to leak out of pies.

Take out the risen dough from the pan, divide into 10-12 parts. We roll each into a bun as follows. Flatten the dough and fold the edges inwards. Then we flatten again and bend the edges again.

Roll out the bun into a circle. Put the stuffing in the middle. No more than one tablespoon!
