Despite the fact that it is less common and known among the people than other salads with crab sticks, this does not make it any less tasty. If you look closely at the composition of the salad, you will notice that it is close to the Olivier salad recipe, except that it does not contain pickled cucumbers, and boiled sausage is replaced crab sticks. , peas and potatoes can be called the prototype of Olivier salad with crab sticks.

Wash potatoes and carrots. Put the vegetables in a saucepan. Fill them with cold water. Boil until done. Boil the eggs in a separate saucepan. Drain water from vegetables. Cool and peel eggs and vegetables. Cut boiled carrots into small cubes.

Cut boiled potatoes into larger cubes, as for Olivier salad.

Wash and chop a bunch of green onions.

Boiled eggs are cut, like other ingredients for a salad with crab sticks and peas, also into cubes.

Add the required amount of canned peas to the bowl with the prepared ingredients. If desired, a salad with potatoes and crab sticks can be varied with salted, pickled or fresh cucumbers.

I was not at all disappointed with the result. Thanks to canned peas, the salad turned out to be very tender and acquired a new pleasant taste. Ingredients:

Potatoes - 2-3 pcs.;

Carrots - 1 pc.;

Crab sticks - 200 g;

Green peas - 1 bank;

Salt, pepper - to taste;

Mayonnaise for dressing.


Recipe:

First, wash and boil potatoes and carrots. When the vegetables are cold, peel them and cut into small cubes. Carrots need not be very large, just add a little sweetness, and also for a color accent. Crab sticks are also crushed. Try to keep all cuts in the salad noticeably of the same format: I usually cut crab sticks and carrots into a cube, about the size of a pea, it seems to me that the salad looks more appetizing this way.


Drain the brine from canned peas, pour into a salad bowl, add chopped potatoes.


It remains to salt the salad, pepper and season with mayonnaise or sour cream. If this dressing is too oily for you, you can replace it with thick unflavored white yogurt. So the salad will become more tender. If this dressing is too bland for your taste, add a few drops of lemon juice.


We mix all the ingredients together, bring to taste, add salt if necessary, and transfer to serving dishes.

First of all, put boiled eggs and carrots. Boil eggs for 10 minutes after boiling water. If the eggs are fresh, then it will not be easy to peel them. To avoid such problems when cooking, add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water. And after cooking, immediately cool the eggs in cold water. It is best to put the pan with eggs under running cold water. Such simple manipulations will allow you to easily peel even the freshest eggs. Boil carrots until they can be easily pierced with a fork. Drain the water from it. Leave the eggs and carrots to cool. In the meantime, move on to other products. Salad can be served as portions in layers, or in a large salad bowl by mixing all the ingredients. For portioned salad in layers, use a culinary ring. The salad will be beautiful. The first layer is crab sticks. We cut them into small cubes.


We make a mayonnaise net on crab sticks and distribute it with a spoon.


We clean the cooled carrots and cut them into small cubes as well. However, it can also be grated on a coarse grater. But the salad cubes look more beautiful. Don't forget to salt the layer of carrots. We make a mayonnaise net.


Drain the water from the peas and lay it on top of the carrots. Lubricate peas with mayonnaise is not necessary, it is already juicy.


The penultimate layer is the eggs. Here you can go in two ways - cut the protein separately, and make a layer of yolks on top. This option is suitable if you did not have cheese for the salad. We just cut the eggs into cubes. Do not forget to compact each layer a little with a spoon or a special “piston”.


The last layer will be grated cheese.


Salad ready. You can remove the cooking ring. Decorate it however you like.

The salad is obtained with a delicate and mild taste, only pickled cucumber gives its bright flavor. Cut pickled cucumber into small cubes.

From a head of cabbage Chinese cabbage separate 2 sheets and finely chop.

Pour green peas with water, without defrosting it, and cook for 2-3 minutes from the moment of boiling. You can put it in the microwave for a minute. Then immediately lower it into ice water so that it does not lose its bright color. Drain the cooled green peas from the water and send to the vegetable slices.
