  1. If you are cooking potatoes with sour cream in a slow cooker on the “Stew” mode, you should not cut the vegetable too thinly and finely, as during the cooking process the dish may turn into porridge due to the fact that the potatoes will soften and lose their shape.
  2. When adding sour cream, it should be diluted with water or cream, depending on the fat content. If there is little fat, then dilute in cream, if there is a lot, then in water. In addition, diluted sour cream will give the dish more juiciness.
  3. When cooking potatoes in sour cream with meat, do not cut the meat into large chunks, otherwise it will take a long time to cook.
  4. To make the dish more aromatic, do not be afraid to experiment with spices and seasonings. For example, cumin, coriander, marjoram and lavrushka are in perfect harmony with potatoes.

Two chic ways to cook potatoes in a slow cooker with sour cream

Potato is a versatile product. It can be baked, stewed, fried - recipes give scope for the imagination of a real chef! And the classic combination of fat sour cream and boiled potatoes rightfully occupies one of the first places among side dishes.

Today we will cook two types of potatoes using a multicooker - potatoes baked with cheese and sour cream in a multicooker and stewed, for those who do not like potato crusts.

Our recipes are simple, even a novice cook can handle them.

stew

Ingredients:

Cooking time - 1 hour.

From the indicated amount of products, 8-10 servings will be obtained.

Let's start cooking

Step 1

Wash the potatoes from dirt, peel and cut into thick slices, as small ones risk turning into porridge when stewing.

We put the chopped potatoes in the bowl of the multicooker, without first lubricating the bottom.

Add salt to taste, a mixture of peppers or other favorite seasonings, mix everything with your hands so that the spices soak the tubers well, and then the stewed potatoes will be much more aromatic.

Step 2

In a deep bowl, mix sour cream and water until smooth, so that there are no lumps. Why do recipes advise taking fat sour cream? Yes, because the taste of the original dish will be richer, with a bright aftertaste of cream.

Pour the potatoes with the resulting mixture, so that partially pieces of potatoes stick out over the filling - after all, we will stew it, not boil it.

Step 3

We put the butter, close the lid of the multicooker, and activate the "Extinguishing" mode for a period of 40 minutes. Check the readiness of the potatoes from time to time, as it is in your slow cooker that they can cook faster or vice versa, slower.

After the specified time, potatoes stewed with sour cream in a slow cooker are ready!

Note: a huge plus of cooking this particular dish is that you can put all the ingredients together, and if you have the “Delayed start” or “Timer” mode, choose the cooking time that is convenient for you - you don’t need to add anything and mix, but just go for a walk, for example, while the stew is cooked.

Baked dish with cheese

The dish turns out, of course, not at all dietary, but very tasty, and I think there is not a single person who would not be subdued by this wonderful combination of potatoes, cheese, sour cream and garlic.

Therefore, we choose the following ingredients:

  • Potato - 1 kilogram.
  • Hard cheese like "Parmesan" or "Poshekhonsky" - 150 grams.
  • Sour cream 25% fat - 100 grams.
  • Garlic - 2-3 cloves.
  • Chicken egg - 1 piece.
  • Vegetable oil for frying.
  • Salt to taste.

If served as a main dish, you get 4 servings.

Let's get started

Step 1

If the stewing recipes involve large cuts of vegetables, then on the contrary, we thinly cut the peeled potato tubers into circles and put them in a separate bowl.

Step 2

Prepare the filling: in a deep bowl, beat the egg with a pinch of salt with a whisk.

Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater, and pour over the egg.

Crush the garlic with a garlic crusher, or finely chop on a cutting board, and send to a bowl.

The last one is sour cream. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with a spoon, pour the potatoes with this mixture. We mix everything well so that each piece is smeared with our appetizing mixture.

Step 3

Lubricate the walls and bottom of the multicooker with butter, lay out the potatoes. If you want an even richer taste, then you can sprinkle grated cheese on top.

We close the lid of the magic pot, activate the “Baking” mode for a period of 1 hour.

Everything, potatoes in sour cream in a slow cooker with cheese are ready!

These recipes can be modified as you like, for example, to baked or stewed potatoes Feel free to add thinly sliced onions or green onions.

You can serve them as a main dish or side dish.
