Meanwhile, place a frying pan over medium heat, add a small piece of butter and add vegetable oil.
While they are warming up, remove the top husk from the head of garlic, but do not peel the cloves, just remove them from the stalk.
Next, pour the required amount of Provençal herbs and ground black pepper into a small mortar. Grind the spices with a pestle until smooth and set aside, they will come in handy later.

Step 4: prepare fried potatoes with garlic.


Approximately after 3 – 4 minutes the mixture of oils will warm up well, carefully transfer the slightly dried potatoes into the frying pan, put the garlic cloves there and increase the temperature of the stove to a level between medium and high.
